New Beginnings Festival is a free, one-day festival in the heart of Sydney on Saturday, 25 January 2025. We will launch our ticketing page soon so stay tuned when you can book your free ticket.

You can sign up to our mailing list to be one of the first to know when our tickets for New Beginnings Festival 2025 are released.

How can I attend?

Anyone is welcome at the New Beginnings Festival. We recommend you register for your free ticket when these are released.

As this is a popular and free event, the venue can reach maximum capacity at some points during the festival. We recommend you arrive early so as not to miss your favourite artist. We look forward to seeing you at the New Beginnings Festival!

What time does the festival start?

New Beginnings Festival starts at 3pm and finishes around 11pm on 25 January 2025. The museum is open before this according to normal opening hours.

Is the venue accessible?

The Australian National Maritime Museum is committed to being an inclusive museum that's accessible to all and offer tailored programs and services to assist. Please visit accessibility information to plan your trip or download a map of Darling Harbour.

If you’re visiting and have particular access requirements, please let the museum know and their booking office can assist in planning your visit. Please phone the museum team on 9298 3777.

What are the parking arrangements?

As we’re an environmentally friendly festival, we recommend our attendees arrive using public transport. If not possible, the closest parking to the Australian National Maritime Museum is the Wilson Harbourside Car Park, 100 Murray Street, Pyrmont.

How do I get there by public transport?

The Australian National Maritime Museum is easy to get to. The closest train station is Town Hall. Bus 389 from Bondi Junction stops at the front door. Catch the spectacular F4 ferry route from Circular Quay to Pyrmont Bay Wharf, right at the museum, or catch the F3 ferry route to Barangaroo Wharf, a 20-minute walk across Pyrmont Bridge to the museum. The L1 light rail from Central Station, or from Dulwich Hill through the inner west, takes you to Pyrmont Bay stop, right across the road from the museum.

Is this a sustainable festival? How can I help?

Yes, we have ambitious sustainability goals our attendees can help us achieve! We kindly ask you to reduce our environmental impact with simple acts such as minimising waste and recycling items that can be recycled. You can also bring your own reusable water bottle (we will have water refill stations) and coffee cup.

Together we can create a big impact.

What if it’s bad weather?

The weather in Sydney can change quickly.

Our venue is mainly outside so please be prepared for the elements – rain or shine! In case of rain, we suggest a raincoat instead of an umbrella to avoid obstructing the view of the stage.

I have additional questions about the festival, who can I contact?

Please contact the SSI New Beginnings Festival team using this online form and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.
